I'm Mark Muse, a licensed clinical social worker and coach with over a decade of experience guiding individuals on their journey towards healing and self-discovery. My therapy practice specializes in providing compassionate and affirming therapy to adults navigating the complexities of life, particularly those within the LGBTQIA2S+ community and allies seeking support.
Drawing upon my background in holistic health and extensive experience in treating complex trauma and PTSD, I offer a unique approach centered around meeting you exactly where you are. Insurances
I am currently in-network with Optum, UnitedHealthcare, UMR, and Aetna as well as some of their subsidiaries. This is not a guarantee that I can take your insurance and all insurances need to be verified prior to starting therapy.
Payments
Payments accepted securely with a credit or debit card including Visa, Mastercard, American Express. Debit cards for HSA/FSA accounts can be used. Online payments via Venmo (@mark_mmc).

Late Cancellation/No-Show Charges
There is a late fee of $75 charged for any appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice or missed appointments.

As a licensed clinical social worker and certified coach with a passion for promoting healing and empowerment, I bring over a decade of diverse professional experience to my practice. Prior to dedicating myself to direct support of people through therapy and coaching, I focused on supporting individuals' growth and well-being in various fields from teaching massage and holistic therapies to managing IT projects. These diverse experiences have instilled in me a deep understanding of the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit, as well as a commitment to fostering meaningful connections and empowering others to live authentically.
My journey into clinical social work and coaching was driven by a desire to uphold the principles of non-judgment, integrity, and authenticity while honoring each individual's right to self-determination. Over the past six years in private practice, I've had the privilege of working with clients from all walks of life, specializing in LGBTQIA+ issues, gender-affirming care, and trauma-informed therapy. My approach is rooted in the belief that every individual possesses the innate wisdom and resilience to navigate life's challenges, and my role is to provide a supportive space for clients to tap into their inner resources and chart their own path towards healing and growth.

EMDR
Eye Movement Densitization and Reprocessing
I use EMDR therapy to help people work through their hardest experiences so they are able to live more rewarding lives. EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, and is a form of therapy that helps people heal from trauma or other distressing life experiences. Experiencing trauma can block the brain's natural way to recover from distressing events. EMDR therapy is designed to reactivate this natural healing process through alternating eye movements, sounds, or taps.
